Due to inclement winter weather conditions, Southeast Missouri State University’s main campus, River Campus and regional campuses in Sikeston and Kennett are operating on a delayed start today, Nov. 15, and classes will begin and the campuses will open at 9:30 a.m. For more information, visit semo.edu/sealerts.

The regional campuses were established to make a college education and degree attainable to students who, for a myriad of reasons, would otherwise not be able to pursue one. They are students who simply love their hometown and aren’t interested in leaving. Since opening, thousands of students have attended one of Southeast's regional campuses where they can now earn a degree in 10 programs. College should be available to everyone. I'm proud to say Southeast held that value long before the internet made it a reality.
