Photo of Athletic Training StaffThe Southeast Missouri State University Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) is strongly committed to providing both an excellent academic and clinical education for Athletic Training majors. The ATEP believes that the clinical experiences of a student should supplement a solid, but challenging, Athletic Training core curriculum. The core curriculum is based upon the required subject matter meeting CAATE Standards and with the 5th Edition of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Athletic Training Education Competencies.

Southeast Missouri State University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).  The program has been placed on Probation as of February 24, 2017, by the CAATE, 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101
