    The Teach Ag Ambassador program is a component of the National Teach Ag Campaign, an initiative to raise awareness of the need for more agriculture teachers and celebrate the contributions made by current agriculture teachers....

  • Greeks Raise More Than $21,000 to Honor Former Members, Support Charity

    Greek Week 2015 2CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 24, 2015 – Southeast Missouri State University’s Greek Week 2015 April 11-19 raised more than $21,000 to honor the memory of three former members and to support local charities.

    DeAnte Smith, director of Greek Life, said fraternity and sorority members netted $21,189.39 last week with $1,500 going to the Bobby Christman Foundation in honor of Christman, a former member of Sigma Phi Epsilon; $1,500 to the Sigma Chi Foundation in honor of Michael Upperman, a former member of Sigma Chi; and $1,500 to Mid America Transplant Services in honor of former Delta Chi member Austen Lamb....

  • Southeast Inducts 189 New Members into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society

    Phi Eta SigmaCAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri, April 23, 2015 – One hundred eighty-nine new members were inducted April 12 into the Southeast Missouri State University chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.

    Those inducted were in the upper 20 percent of their class and had earned at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average after their first semester at Southeast, while maintaining a full-time course load.

    Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society that recognizes high scholastic achievement during the first year of college and offers leadership and scholastic opportunities. The organization was founded in 1923 at the University of Illinois. There now are 378 chapters throughout the United States. The Southeast Missouri State University chapter was established 1984....
